BITTER SWEET

Simply Me.. Nothing More.. Nothing Less

So this is almost it! The ending of the school year is almost here, so cramming time shall begin. The thing I do not get is that students seem to stress finals the most. I mean, if you study bit by bit, eat, sleep, and get plenty of rest, then you should be good to go. I am well aware that some students academic situation may vary, depending on their efforts throughout the semester. However, that should not negate the fact that those items I listed previously are essential. I have never been a stickler for pulling an "all nighter," they are just not for me. I just want to embrace my last few weeks at ABAC and prepare for graduation and my next journey in my future career. I am not sad that it is almost over, but glad that it happened.

                       "Stand"
Look at me, I feel transparent..
invisible to the human eye..
no more than a tiny speak
on a tanned neck. Can anyone hear me?
My voice is as soft as a distant bee buzz, waiting

to project with the morning dove.
Can you feel me?
My touch is as gentle
as a feather, warmer than the sun, and loving
like a nursery nun. This is me, craving for
tranquility.. ravishing to be..
please look at me. I am human, what more
do you want from me?
I have a divine reason for being here.
I am rejuvanated and re-cooperated.
Today I will take a stand, a stand above the
blue waters and the sandy sands. I will fight for
my purpose on Earth, because I deserve nothing
less than the best... Do you even know...
that time is of the essence, waiting for no one as it unfolds.
It is now my time to uphold the the truths that my
enemies once knew.  Today I stand!

What Am I??? (Poem)

I live in a land of magic
where smiles, hugs, and love
are least judged.
We laugh, sing, and dance rhythmically with the trees. the trees.
The animals of the forest chime and
juke with tranquility.
My body is small; fragile as a blue bird,
my eyes are tiny and very absurd.
My back contains a pair that project
me in the air with ease, my buzz is
compared to the yellow honey bees.
My powers I possess are quite extraordinary, ranging from one to many..
My duty of the land is to inspire,
protect, and love.a job I openly adornMy family are small, ranging from thousands of years old,
I am neither young, middle-aged, nor old.
If you know.. you need not ask.. if you ask..
then you need not know. I am a creature
of the extraordinary.. valued and prized to many.
I am the hope, motivation, and dream to thousands searching
for calmness, intellect, and prosperity.
What am I?

Bring It On: All or Nothing

Watching Bring it on All or Nothing brings back many memories from the beginning of the series!
(Solange Knowles-Smith) as Camile, in center
Starring Hayden Pannetiere and Solange Knowles as the starring characters! The movie was filled with laughter, drama, and competition between the Pacific Vista's and the Crenshaw Warrior's! During the balcony scene with Britney (Pannetiere) and Jesse (Gus Carr) "cheermance" was not all together. Carr's acting seemed a bit too rehearsed and unconvincing. It made me hurt to watch as he talked to Pannetiere about his grandparents and trying to Incorporated slang and street talk toward his life. I know it was insinuated that he came from the streets, but his interpretation of it did did not flow with his part. Other parts of the movie were very entertaining and I would have rated it a B+.  However, when Pannetiere moves to Crenshaw Heights and enters her English class, I could never grasp the fact that the classroom had pictures of many different African American Icons, history date, and notes on the board pertaining to the amendments! I don't  know what type of English it was, but it would have convinced me more to have a little more Literature and English \Composition things versus history events displayed on the wall. lol Overall,  it was a phenomenal piece! What the heck, they should have picked me for the movie!

Today I decided to reach in my movie collection and chose a horrifying, grotesque, yet cunning film entitled, Final Destination. If you are unaware about the disturbing  saga's, they are deprived from the perspective of death itself and how it fights back after being cheated.
Final Destination, starring actors (Devon Sawa) as Alex Browning, and (Ali Larter) as Clear Rivers. The two teens with the accompaniment of their senior class on a trip to Paris, when Alex has a terrible premonition of flight 180, killing everyone viciously during the explosion. When Alex awakes, events start to immediately unfold as he cries out, "We have to get off this plane!! This plane is going to explode, I saw it!"
Rivers, along with four other students and one of teachers get kicked off and minutes later watch the plane as it takes off and explodes!
Death continues to hunt down each survivor miscellaneously until remains are the only thing left. Throughout the movie, the survivors pair up to try and figure death out as it interrogates each and every person until it's design is complete.
Towards the end of the movie, three of the survivors manage to beat death's design and make it to Paris. Soon they find that death is not finished and will continue until everyone meant to perish on flight 180 were dead.
Alex's  reaction after his disturbing premonition

The saga continues with Final Destination II, III, IV, and The Final Destination.

Good Deeds, a film produced by Tyler Perry was absolutely amazing! The film centered around a single mother Lindsey Wakefield, actress(Thandie Newton), and her young daughter who were poverty stricken and kicked out of their apartment to live on the streets. Meanwhile, living the good life with a multi-millionaire company and perfect-made wife lived Wesley Deeds, actor and producer (Tyler Perry).
The movie had a great climax and story line as the two people from totally separate worlds get involved with each other, and learn that the battle between love, money, and, life can conquer anyone's soul if they are destined to be.
However, the love ending and the two actually getting together was the "obvious." I wouldn't rate the movie less, yet I would have considered a different ending or a different resolution towards the end to make the film a bit more realistic.

So this new movie coming out called Snow White and the Huntsmen looks THRILLING! I am super excited to see actress Kristen Stewart doing something other than a helpless love- stricken girl in the Twilight Series. Director Rupert Sanders seems like he put a lot of thought and charisma around the Snow White theme. The movie looks packed with action, plot, adventure, romantics, and thrills. The film hits theater on June 1, 2012. I'm betting this movie will make the top box seller, raking in the most money!

Movie Ramble

I am starting this blog to entertain, enlighten, and inform people about my interesting thoughts and ideas about certain movies or short plays that are produced. No, I am not a movie critic nor do I plan to be one, however I do have a certain passion for movies and short plays and notice just about ever detail there is when observing one. I do believe sometimes producers and executors choose bad actors for the job, which then downplays the movie or play and looses interest and viewers. I look forward in blogging about this passionate theme.
